Mr. Reddy, Prior to joining SERP, was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of SKS Microfinance. SKS has grown phenomenally during his tenure. He put SKS into a growth path by developing suitable strategy for rapid growth. Developed systems and structure to make it a professional MFI; recruited and trained the staff for the rapid growth envisaged. He was involved in developing the structure for transformation of SKS as NGO into a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC). During his tenure, SKS mobilized funds from mainstream financial institutions like SIDBI, ICICI Bank and UTI bank. During his tenure SKS also attracted investments from “Unite Us”, an organization promoted by high net-worth individuals from USA.

Mr. Reddy has also worked for BASIX, a leading MFI at that time, for 4 years and Canara Bank for over 12 years. He has handled several international consultancies, viz.: 1.FAO assignment in Sri Lanka (Gemi Diriya Community Development and Livelihood Improvement Project – funded by the World Bank) to suggest appropriate interventions for improving the efficiency of the program, sustainability of the institutions, expanding Gemi Diriya to all regions integrating with ongoing government programs and addressing major livelihoods of the communities. 2. Microfinance Specialist (International) in LEAP, Cambodia (World Bank funded program) – Intermittently between Nov 2010 and Oct 2011 3. Lead resource person during the Regional Training Course on Microfinance in Agriculture from 11 to 15 November 2013 in Siem Reap, Cambodia – Conducted by APRACA for IFAD supported FinServ Access Project.

Till recently he was one of the directors of SERP - Andhra Pradesh Government, taking care of its flagship program - SHG Bank-Linkage. He was also the MD of Stree Nidhi, a State Level Apex Financial Cooperative of women SHG federations of the Government of Andhra Pradesh for sometime. Bank-Linkage program of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, during his tenure, became highly successful and started contributing nearly 50% of the national SHG Bank-Linkage progress. He developed SHG Bank-Linkage web portal for the state, and later on for the country, wherein banks are sharing SHG Bank-Linkage transaction data on a monthly basis.
