FinserIn connects women micro-entrepreneurs in need of formal credit for enterprise expansion with financial institutions.

The crux of a problem

Time and again, women micro-entrepreneurs wanting enterprise loans, say between Microfinance / Self Help Groups and SME loans (that is M of MSME), consistently rate access to financial credit as their top barrier to growth.

Though, micro-enterprises run by the individuals at the bottom of the pyramid have received a bulk of attention and capital in the past few years through MFIs and SHG Bank-Linkage process, the requirements of those belonging to the top of the bottom of the pyramid, have been neglected and they represent an important part of true economic growth.

It is estimated that 10 million out of 50 million SHG members in India qualify for micro loans under MSME, whereas urban locations in TS and AP alone contribute a million.
